Previewing the 2014 Houston Texans Schedule

The Houston Texans got off to a nice 2-0 start in 2013, only to drop their next 14 games and “earn’ the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. That epic collapse got head coach Gary Kubiak fired and Matt Schaub traded, and suddenly the Texans are starting over. New head coach Bill O’Brien appears to have Houston on the right path, but a tough 2014 schedule won’t make things easy.

Houston won’t even have it easy at home a year after going 2-14, as they get to welcome Baltimore, Cincinnati, Buffalo, Philadelphia and Washington to Texas. The Redskins and Bills offer up winnable games and the Texans still get some easy home games within the division, but the Ravens, Bengals and Eagles should all give Houston a run for their money.

The Houston Texans schedule on the road is a little easier, as they have to travel to Dallas, Cleveland, Oakland, and New York (Giants). Even a somewhat rebuilding Houston team has a good chance at taking care of the Browns, Eagles and Giants, but a matchup with the Cowboys could prove to be difficult.
